Department Flag

The department's flag represents our vision statement and values. The badge worn by police officers is positioned over the thin blue line. This thin blue line has symbolic meaning for law enforcement officers and represents the nobility of policing. The section above the line represents civilized society and the greater good of humanity. The lower section below the line represents crime, anarchy, and chaos. 

The thin blue line represents police officers who hold the line, protect the weak, innocent, and oppressed, deter crime, and proactively work together with the community to foster positive relationships to improve quality of life for all. The thin blue line further honors our Fallen Heroes across the profession.
