GENERAL & SPECIAL ELECTION DATE AND LOCATION
The General Election to elect qualified candidates to serve as Mayor and in Place No. 1 will be held on November 3, 2026.
For candidacy filing purposes, the location of the main administrative office for the next General Election is:
City of White Settlement City Hall
Office of the City Secretary
214 Meadow Park Drive
White Settlement, TX 76108
The White Settlement Public Library, located at 8215 White Settlement Road, White Settlement, Texas 76108, will serve as the Vote Center for Early and Election Day voting.

CANDIDATE FILING DATES AND FEES
Filing dates for Application for Place on General Election Ballot are July 20, 2026 through August 17, 2026. *The City Secretary Office is not required to be open on weekends for the purpose of candidate filings.
There is a $30 filing fee. A candidate may also file a PETITION IN LIEU OF A FILING FEE.
CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Pursuant to Texas Election Code section 141.001 and Article III, section 3 of the City of White Settlement Charter, to be eligible for public elective office, a candidate for City elective office:
o Be a United States Citizen.
o Be a resident of the City of White Settlement and the State of Texas and shall have been a resident of White Settlement for a period of not less than 12 months immediately preceding the election date.
o Be a qualified voter of the State of Texas and Tarrant County
o Shall be 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment, as applicable.
o Shall not have been determined to be mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court.
o Shall not have been finally convicted of a felony for which the person has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities.

City Council meetings are held the First Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 PM, unless otherwise scheduled by council action. Special meetings are called as needed.
