Pride Commission

The Pride Commission's responsibilities and duties are to gather data, prepare plans, recommend, advise, and assist the City Council and City Manager in promoting and advancing integrated, systematic and comprehensive programs and efforts to enhance the beauty, cleanliness, health, and safety to the residents of the City of White Settlement through the removal of litter, trash, debris, and other such issues/items that would detract from quality of life and environmental issues. To encourage and organize broad citizen participation and community involvement in accomplishing the litter and debris reduction, beautification, and recycling objectives as outlined above. To evaluate, monitor and report on the status and progress of litter and debris reduction, beatification and recycling efforts.

2008 Annual Fall Clean Sweep and Brush Drop Off Event
On Saturday, September 13th from 9am to 1pm; despite the weather, the Pride Commission conducted another successful annual trash and debris collection event in conjunction with Keep Texas Beautiful, TCEQ, and the City of Fort Worth "Mobile Crud Cruiser Unit".  Each year, residents are encouraged to drop off an unlimited amount of hazardous household chemical waste, trash, bulk debris, and brush at absolutely no cost.  Don't miss the 2009 Fall Clean Sweep to be held on Saturday, September 12th... see you there!!!
