The Pride Commission's responsibilities and duties are to gather data, prepare
plans, recommend, advise, and assist the City Council and City Manager in
promoting and advancing integrated, systematic and comprehensive programs and
efforts to enhance the beauty, cleanliness, health, and safety to the
residents of the City of White Settlement through the removal of litter,
trash, debris, and other such issues/items that would detract from quality of
life and environmental issues. To encourage and organize broad citizen
participation and community involvement in accomplishing the litter and debris
reduction, beautification, and recycling objectives as outlined above. To
evaluate, monitor and report on the status and progress of litter and debris
reduction, beatification and recycling efforts.
