WHITE SETTLEMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
AMENDED PROJECT FOR FY 2009-2010
EXPENDITURE TO BE TRANSFERRED FROM LAND PURCHASE LINE ITEM
Notice
is given in compliance with Section 4(B)(a-1) and (a-2) of Article 5190.6
of the Texas Civil Statutes by the WHITE SETTLEMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION (EDC) for the planned expenditures from EDC funds as listed
below.
Such expenditures are
authorized by Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 501-Provisions
Governing Developments, Subchapter C, Authorized Projects, Section
501.101-Projects Related to Creation or Retention of Primary Jobs.
In this subtitle, “project”
includes the land, buildings, equipment, facilities, expenditures,
targeted infrastructure, and improvements that are:
(1)
for the
creation or retention or primary jobs; and
(2)
found by the
board of directors to be required or suitable for the development,
retention, or expansion of:
(A) manufacturing and
industrial facilities;
within the City of White
Settlement, Texas
A public hearing on the following project will be conducted by the
EDC on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at White Settlement City Hall, 214 Meadow
Park Drive, White Settlement, Texas at 7:00 P.M. The public is invited to
attend this public hearing and may speak for or against this project in
accordance with the procedures established by the Economic Development
Corporation Board.
FUNDING FOR AMENDED EDC PROJECT
IN FY 2009-2010
PROJECT: FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO CO-OPERATIVE INDUSTRIES AEROSPACE
INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE OLD WALMART BUILDING AT 1401 SOUTH CHERRY
LANE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $120,000.
The EDC has determined
providing this financial assistance to the potential purchaser will
provide quality economic growth and a more diversified tax base within the
City of White Settlement. EDC will conduct a public hearing to fund
this project of providing financial assistance in an amount not to exceed
$120,000.
