On Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the early morning hours, the White Settlement Police Department S.W.A.T. team executed a successful search and arrest warrant in the 7900 block of Downe Drive. The warrant was obtained by the White Settlement Street Crimes Unit (SCU), for the sale of illegal narcotics from a known drug house.
For several months, the SCU had been actively monitoring the residence and vehicles or individuals leaving the area in an effort to build a solid case against the suspect. Eventually, through all the officer’s hard work and long hours, they were able to present enough strong evidence to the judge who signed the warrant.
During the execution of the warrant, the SWAT team entered the residence and immediately encountered several subjects who complied with officer’s commands. Once the residence was secured the Street Crimes Unit searched the home for illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, or any cash profits made from the sale of illegal narcotics.
As a result of the search, the S.C.U. confiscated over 70 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of concentrated THC or “DAB”, over 20 grams of miscellaneous dangerous drugs, and several grams of heroin. SCU also seized cash, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, along with other pieces of critical evidence. The primary person believed to be involved was arrested on several felony drug charges. Another person was arrested on outstanding warrants for drug charges and Failure to Identify Truthfully. Both individuals are expected to be formally arraigned on those charges tomorrow morning.
