We are excited to announce that The City Council of the City of White Settlement established a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) to be composed of fifteen (15) youth members who are:
- Residents of the City of White Settlement; or
- Reside within the boundaries of the White Settlement ISD; or
- Attend a State recognized school (public, private, charter) or home-school within the corporate boundaries of White Settlement.
This City of White Settlement values its youth and created the Council to provide a voice for the teen community. The Council serves as an advisory to the White Settlement City Council. The Council will consist of members between the ages of 15 – 18 years of age who are interested in being positive representatives of the teen community.
The Council duties and responsibilities will include identifying areas for improvement related to youth, including developing programs and services that empower, support, and inform youth; that create a family-friendly community; and that enables and encourages youth to be productive members of the community.
Interested teens are asked to complete the online application.
Mission Statement “The Youth Advisory Council, through community service, peer involvement, and government relationship, will serve the City of White Settlement by providing a voice for the teen community.
