New Service/Disconnection

Apply for Water Service

To set up your water service with the City please fill out the WATER SERVICE APPLICATION and then either bring it into City Hall (CURRENT HOURS: Wednesday and Friday, 8am-5pm) or email it to ub-customer-service@wstx.us. You will also need to provide:

  • A lease agreement if you are renting or closing papers if you just purchased the property
  • Money for a deposit
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license or identification card

Deposit must be paid at time of application. Deposit can be made by cash, money order, cashier’s check or credit card (in-person only). Residential deposit is $100 for owners and $150 for renters. A non-residential deposit is determined based on 90 days of anticipated utility bill. Utility Bills are due 15 days after billing date (ex. Billed 30th due 15th, Billed 15th due 30th). Any unpaid balance is subject to a 10 percent penalty after 5 p.m. on due date. Customers are at risk for termination of service (cut-off/disconnect) for non-payment 22 days after billed date and a $25 admin fee on date of disconnect. A $25 non-sufficient funds fee will be assessed for all payment methods returned.

Disconnect Services

To disconnect services, account holder or authorized user on the account will call Utility Billing, 817-246-4971 option 1, and provide disconnect date and forwarding address. Services will be turned off and final bill will be processed at end of billing cycle. If there is a remaining account balance a final bill will be sent to the forward address. If there is a credit balance a refund check will be issued. If customer does not request disconnection, services will be terminated when new customer turns on services. Please be aware that if the account holder or authorize user on the account does not disconnect the account, it will bill every month until its finaled and the account holder will still be responsible for all water bills that have been billed.

Transfer Services

To transfer services, please come in to Utility Billing Department to complete  transfer paperwork. Transfer fee is billed to the account.

One Day Service

One day service is available for 24 hours at a cost of $50. One day service cannot be requested on Fridays.
