| Nestled in 5 square miles bounded by IH30, Loop 820 West, and the Joint Naval Air Station (formerly Carswell Air Force Base), the City of White Settlement offers the quality of life associated with small town living. The City, incorporated in 1941, is home to 15,400 residents, many of whom are second or third generation residents. White Settlement has a rich history dating back to the 1840’s when the area was home to seven Indian villages and one non-Indian settlement. This settlement became a trading post that was patronized by both the Indians and the settlers. This sense of community remains. Exemplary City services further enhance this sense of community. The Police Department moved into a 15,400 square foot facility in 1998. The Senior Services Center has an award-winning program.
